Sage & Co Cwmbran and Risca have teamed up with the local charity ‘Risca Covid-19 Volunteers’ to support TWO APPEALS that have been organised by them, leading up to Christmas. The team at Sage & Co recognise that 2020 has been a terrible year for most of us, and for some more than others. If you can help to spread a little joy at this special time of year to help those less fortunate, we would be extremely grateful!
The first is the ‘Cwtch in a Box’ appeal, where ‘Winter Warmer’ gift boxes will be delivered to the elderly during the Christmas period. Each box will contain: Fingerless gloves, a warm hat, fleece blanket, a hot water bottle, thermal mug PLUS a hand drawn Christmas Card from children of local schools.
The second is the ‘Toy Appeal’ – The closing date for toy donations will be December 11th, this is to allow sufficient quarantine periods after this date, to commence the Christmas deliveries.
The toys will be delivered across FOUR key areas:
• The New Grange University Hospital Children’s Ward
• The Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital – including their Cancer Care Unit (we have a certificate of authority)
• ‘Looked after’ children in our community with life limiting and complex care needs
• Families who are struggling this Christmas
Risca Covid-19 Volunteers are working in connection with local schools, churches, foodbanks, district nurses, hospital play co-ordinators, and the families that they support directly through the charity, to ensure the presents are delivered to those that need them the most.

Toys can be dropped off to our offices in Cwmbran and Risca or at the St John’s Ambulance Hall in Risca.
